- jimh posted 03-20-2006 08:42 AM ET (US) I have used cold galvanizing paint to re-coat small areas of my galvanized trailer whenever I have drilled a new hole in it. The metal content of different brands of paint varies. When shopping around, I noticed some cans were about the same weight as a can of spray paint, while others were very noticeably heavier. I assume the heavier ones had more zinc in them. That is the brand I used. - Source: Internet

Mine is showing minor signs of rust and I’m wondering if I should do anything about it. I’m already having a heck of a time removing bolts from brackets due to the rust which makes replacing rollers a real effort. Any thoughts? - Source: Internet

- jxs226 posted 03-20-2006 08:09 AM ET (US) POR-15 is the best rust-proof, rust-inhibiting coating I’ve ever used. Compared to cold galvanizing spray, POR-15 is far more adherent and offers a far more permanent fix, in my opinion.
